Install: WordPress plugin

The WordPress plugin gates a WordPress site from inside PHP — no edge, no separate server. Install it like any other plugin.

When to use

You run WordPress (self-hosted, not wordpress.com). This is the only form factor that runs inside your CMS.

1. Download the plugin

From the dashboard, choose WordPress and download mothershy-agent-paywall.zip.

2. Install and activate

  1. In wp-admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload the zip.
  2. Activate MotherShy Agent Paywall.

3. Configure

In Settings → MotherShy, set:

  • Site ID — your verified domain (e.g. example.com).
  • Root public key — the pinned Mother public root from your dashboard.
  • Price (µUSD) — 0 for free, or your per-access price.

The plugin reads X-MotherShy on every request and gates before content renders.

4. Verify

bash
# human → 200, agent → 402, Googlebot → 200
curl -A "Mozilla/5.0 … Chrome/120.0" https://example.com/ -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}\n"
curl https://example.com/ -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}\n"
curl -A "Googlebot/2.1" https://example.com/ -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}\n"

Behavior

Same as every wall: verified agents pass, humans and search bots pass free, un-enrolled agents get 402.

Keep it updated

The plugin ships a self-update channel. When a new version is available, update from wp-admin — the trust core changes are security-relevant.
